A housing development on an old infantry field east of the medieval city wall of Visby.
In 2016 Vida won a property development competition together with architect Hans Berndtsson and in 2019 the first houses will be ready for moving in.
Two- and three storey houses encloses three courtyards and the project will consist of a total of 90 apartments and rowhouses when finished.
The austere exterior of the blocks with its white limestone facing plaster and rigid fenestration contrasts the flourishing inner sanctuary of the courtyards where the dominant material is grey pine wood.
